Attachment of wages refers to attachment by a plaintiff of a defendant’s earnings as an employee. An attachment of wages is not a foreign attachment and provides that execution on wages may be applied for by a judgment creditor if a judgment debtor fails to comply with an installment payment order. However, attachment of wages is impractical when a court requires the person to enter into bond or other collateral security to secure payment in the amount of the past due support.
